traits; Weird. Kooky. Bizarre. Terrifying. Deadly. Not really words one would expect to be used to describe a tall, chunky brute that likes to skip through fields of flowers as often as possible, and yet here we are... You see, the thing about Tiny Tim is that his mind doesn't quite work right. He is somewhere on the autism spectrum which isn't a bad thing, and that doesn't make him a bad guy, either. However, combine autism with a severe case of intermittent explosive disorder as well as schizophrenia... and you've got yourself a deadly combination. Most of the time, Timmy is (mostly) fine. He can go from childish and sweet to flirty and overly sexual in a matter of seconds. However, the most dangerous thing about him is not the flirting or giggling... but the sudden, extreme anger that can come out of nowhere with seemingly no trigger. He won't black out, he'll remember everything that he does, but that doesn't mean he's able to stop himself. Murder, rape, self harm... there's no telling just what he'll do.
mental health; Autism spectrum disorder, intermittent explosive disorder, schizophrenia
history; From the very beginning, Tiny Tim was a handful. He was the second born in a set of triplets with two sisters. However, he was the only one in the set to survive and was born quite small, especially compared to his size now, thus the meaning behind his name. It was clear from the start that he was different. He had trouble communicating and did not learn to talk until much later than the average foal. He would have fits where he would kick and scream, biting himself to the point of breaking the skin. He would throw himself on the ground and scratch himself against trees and rocks. His poor parents, already heartbroken after the death of the two girls, didn't know what to do with him. It formed a rift between them that could not be healed and by the time Timmy could be weaned, his father had given up on his mate and son and left without a second glance.
Around a year old, Timmy settled down a little bit and was easier to manage but he had already been blacklisted by the rest of the herd. He was too much of a hazard to let around the other children. His mother always blamed this for the onset of his schizophrenia. He had no one to talk to so he created his own friends, she insisted, and was left in agony to watch as he son once again began to diminish. His fits weren't as often as before but he was still childish and not easily understood. His sentences were disorganized and would trail off at times. He forgot what he would be talking about and insisted that he was being followed.
At one and a half, Timmy and his mother, Nightshade, a palomino with the same blue eyes as Timmy, left the herd. Nightshade knew that Timmy would never fit in, so she brought him away, hoping to find a safe place for the young stud to live. He never left her side, seeming to be afraid of the world around him, demanding to go home, screaming and flinging himself to the ground when his mother told him no. It was about a month after leaving the herd that Nightshade finally found something that could calm the yearling - flowers. Lots and lots of flowers, especially tulips. She would search day in and day out for fields of flowers, open meadows, anything that could help calm her distressed boy, and that was how they carried on until her death just as Timmy turned four years old.
