traits; Kiwi is one tough cookie. She's witty, sarcastic, and stubborn. Not one to back down from a fight, it would be unwise to judge her strictly on her pretty exterior. Kiwi may come across as this flamboyant girly girl, but she's more than willing to get down and dirty and be one of the boys. Mud and dirt, blood and bruises don't scare her. She's more than willing to march straight into danger if it means protecting herself or her loved ones. She is fiercely protective and though she may look sweet, one wrong word or move and she'll tear you a new one. She doesn't accept excuses, either, so save your sob stories about why you did something wrong and why you should be excused from it because she doesn't care. In her eyes, you are responsible for everything you do, and you should take responsibility for it, regardless of the situation. She doesn't view men as being the stronger sex. She views all genders as equal, though she does have a soft spot for the ladies. Don't get your hopes up, boys. Kiwi is as gay as they come, and she's proud of it. She doesn't care about the Kings and Princes, she would much rather steal the Queen and seduce the Princess. Kiwi doesn't care if you accept her or not, though. She loves herself, she loves life, and she doesn't need others to accept her just to feel validated about herself. She has her life goals and that's all she wants to accomplish. As long as she lives a long, happy, and good life, what more could she possibly want?

history; Unlike most little girls that wanted to grow up to be the princess of the lands... Kiwi's tale is a little different. Well, a lot different. She never had any interest in being a princess. She wanted to do something more than that. She wanted to fight and train and explore, which was a nightmare to her poor mother who just so happened to be the Queen, and her father the King. Kiwi was the firstborn of the ruling pair and it was her destiny to take over the throne when she came of age. Only, no one seemed able to control her. From the moment she could walk, she was venturing away from her mother's side. She would poke her nose into the servants' chambers, sneak into the knights' training sessions, and mingle with the spies of the land. The civilians of her homeland were all amused by her. They adored her, even if she wasn't a proper princess. She took the time, as she got older, to talk to her subjects and though she was very sarcastic and a bit crude, they loved her. The lands flourished under her parent's rule and by the time she was a yearling, the neighboring lands were starting to talk about pairing their young princes with her. Kiwi, however, wasn't having any of it. She refused to meet with any of the princes, refused to allow herself to be wedded off. Tension rose between her and her parents, and most nights they couldn't even find her because she would go storming off.
It was during one of these storm off sessions that she met Pumpkin. She was a young girl around her age of then two and a half, a beautiful buckskin. Pumpkin was one of the servants, a low-class citizen, but the two girls hit it off right away. It became a nightly ritual for Kiwi to run away at night to go and see Pumpkin. It was the highlight of her day. Everything just seemed so much better when she was with Pumpkin. They told each other everything. Pumpkin told her how she had often dreamed of meeting the Princess, and how she never dared imagine she would ever become friends with her. Kiwi told Pumpkin she was her best friend. As days turned into weeks, and then months, Kiwi started taking Pumpkin around the lands with her. She took her on as her personal servant, so that they could spend all of their time together. Months turned into two years and before the girls knew it, they were four and a half years old and the King and Queen were trying to wed Kiwi off to another Prince again, saying it was beyond time for it to be done. Except Kiwi had already developed feelings for someone else. A girl. Her best friend. In a heated argument, Kiwi shouted this to her father in front of the Royal Court and nothing but deadly silence followed.
Pumpkin was found by some of the Royal Guards and brought before the court. She was terrified, but when asked, she did not deny having feelings for the princess as well. Horrified and disgusted, the King demanded that Pumpkin be put to death. Kiwi screamed for the guards not to listen to her father, even flinging herself at the three guards who began to attack Pumpkin, but she was easily tossed aside and held back. She could only watch helplessly as her first love and best friend was slaughtered in front of the court. When the deed was done, she was numb. Her father told her she would be wed within the week, and Kiwi decided she wasn't going to stand for it anymore. She spat at her father's hooves and fled the kingdom, never looking back.
